Melting watermelon is a happy joke about the melting pot concept. Actually we all talk about social engaging and tolerance but sometimes, unconsciously we don't apply our best judgment. A fruit doesn't melt, but it organically changes and can melt every difference at its life cycle. This colourful summery fruit gives the sensation of an apparent harmony and connection among cultures. Expressive black illustrations of some of the most relevant cultural iconic and known objects. I hope to get my message across always with humour and fun tone. This artwork is shipped on a folder or tube and is not framed. Esta obra nop esta emarcada.

Biography

Artista plástica y investigadora de art desde 2008, con formación académica en filosofia del art y museologia en la Universidad de bellas Artes de Lisboa . Curadora de algunos proyectos artísticos en Lisboa, Barcelona y Paris, con oficinas y palestras acerca de arte en museos. Enfocada en art sobre o en la naturaleza, creando installations, fotografiando y pintando lo que cree más interesante para su trabajo y búsqueda. Más recientemente ha coordenado residencias artísticas con artistas de Portugal y Angola para un proyecto de cambios multiculturales y de cooperación. Ha publicado su primero libro de ilustraciones infantiles. Está en curso un segundo libro de ilustraciones para 2022. Exposiciones individuales y colectivas de pintura y dibujo en Lisboa, Matosinhos, Oporto, Barcelona, Palma de Maiorca y Nueva Iorque desde 2008. Está preparando 2 exposiciones para el año 2022, una en el Museo Quinta de Santiago, en Matosinhos; la otra en el Forum Maia, en Oporto.
