Biography

Él toma como nombre artístico ” Balbuena”, haciendo un guiño a su abuelo materno Dionisio. En su obra podemos apreciar ese respeto y cariño hacia los ancianos. Tras adquirir los conocimientos del arte por los maestros catedráticos y al conocer la figura del fotógrafo ” Alberto Garcia Alix” y sus co-influencias por medio de los trabajos de investigación, de las cuales podemos destacar a los siguientes fotógrafos: Elliott Erwitt, Diane Arbus, Nan Goldin, Larry Clark, Walker Evans y Danny Lyon.Por todo ello, el artista siente la necesidad de coger la cámara fotográfica y captar el mundo que le rodea. El acercamiento del fotógrafo a la gente le hace más humano y su principal interés es acercar el arte a la sociedad. Balbuena va creando su propio estilo de manera autodidacta recorriendo las calles de las ciudades, con el fin de congelar ese momento único y mágico con su cámara e intentar que sus fotografías adquieran el “punctum” del cual habla Roland Barthes en su libro ” La cámara Lucida”.
