Biography

El trabajo artístico de Tomás Justicia (Jódar) Jaén, centra sus intereses en la manufactura objetual del consumismo y su relación o disyunción con el mundo natural y humano. Algunos de sus temas fetiches son: naturaleza, arquitectura, paisaje, hábitat, territorio, contaminación, cambio climático o temas políticos actuales. Como el propio autor apunta “mis proyectos son procesos evolutivos sobre temas que se ramifican y extrapolan hacia diferentes lenguajes, intentando crear una polisemia conceptual-visual”. Uno de los términos que mejor podría definir su trabajo en el ámbito artístico es “híbrido” (del latín hybrida, “mestizo”, es decir, que posee características de distintas naturalezas). En su creación artística siempre ha estado presente la creación de nuevos imaginarios visuales a partir de la conjunción de formas de índole opuesta, tanto en significado como en apariencia. Este juego le permite desarrollar conexiones entre mensajes y transmitirlos conceptualmente a imágenes, formuladas bajo estrategias de retórica visual con cierta carga crítica hacia una concienciación social.
