"Goat paws in the milky way" is a modern interpretation of still life objects. Either animals and utensils are set in the same category to provide some sort of comfort and utilitarian role. Commodities to humans. Even animals become ironically a piece of a functional but decorative element of daily life. "Goat paws..." reminds me of an ambiguous reading of utensils and tools' for ordinary life as well as milk products resource for people. The milk vessel is an obsolete object and the old, reliable and iconic coffee maker that is being substituted by other technological equipments. A drawing about the past and the present, with folk elements, but contemporary mediums and techniques that give this drawing a unique composition. A mix of water ink transparency, and acrylic paint to create movement. A game between drawing and painting, form and stain, shadows and paint drags; a contemporary technique that brings the drawing to life. This artwork is composed of two equal separate papers/thin cardboards that work together. It is not framed and ships in a folder or tube. This artwork is a diptych. La obra no está enmarcada.

Biography

Artista plástica y investigadora de art desde 2008, con formación académica en filosofia del art y museologia en la Universidad de bellas Artes de Lisboa . Curadora de algunos proyectos artísticos en Lisboa, Barcelona y Paris, con oficinas y palestras acerca de arte en museos. Enfocada en art sobre o en la naturaleza, creando installations, fotografiando y pintando lo que cree más interesante para su trabajo y búsqueda. Más recientemente ha coordenado residencias artísticas con artistas de Portugal y Angola para un proyecto de cambios multiculturales y de cooperación. Ha publicado su primero libro de ilustraciones infantiles. Está en curso un segundo libro de ilustraciones para 2022. Exposiciones individuales y colectivas de pintura y dibujo en Lisboa, Matosinhos, Oporto, Barcelona, Palma de Maiorca y Nueva Iorque desde 2008. Está preparando 2 exposiciones para el año 2022, una en el Museo Quinta de Santiago, en Matosinhos; la otra en el Forum Maia, en Oporto.
