This art work is a compilation of my favorite Atlantic series digital photographs that convey the chromatic aspects, the natural light diffusion all through the day, from dawn to sun set. This part of the Atlantic ocean is in my home town, near Lisbon, Portugal. The northen atlantic ocean has this wild, and more agressive quality that gives to the water a lot of movement. I wanted to be a very balanced choice of the same image, although each one of them has its emotional vibration, beauty and texture details that some of the colours allow to observe. These also let us abstract from the real object of the photography and dive into this ambiguous matter, that sometimes looks like water, others, like a solid material, as wood, silicon, plexiglass, etc... Even though the sea landscape stands out in its wavery and unsteadiness quality. I decided to do this montage on a very good quality photo paper - Fuji DP II - because it enhances all aspects of the object being worked on. These 4 pictures are beautifully framed with oak wood frames. They really work together and give a super elegant artwork to a modern house or a working space.

Biography

Artista plástica y investigadora de art desde 2008, con formación académica en filosofia del art y museologia en la Universidad de bellas Artes de Lisboa . Curadora de algunos proyectos artísticos en Lisboa, Barcelona y Paris, con oficinas y palestras acerca de arte en museos. Enfocada en art sobre o en la naturaleza, creando installations, fotografiando y pintando lo que cree más interesante para su trabajo y búsqueda. Más recientemente ha coordenado residencias artísticas con artistas de Portugal y Angola para un proyecto de cambios multiculturales y de cooperación. Ha publicado su primero libro de ilustraciones infantiles. Está en curso un segundo libro de ilustraciones para 2022. Exposiciones individuales y colectivas de pintura y dibujo en Lisboa, Matosinhos, Oporto, Barcelona, Palma de Maiorca y Nueva Iorque desde 2008. Está preparando 2 exposiciones para el año 2022, una en el Museo Quinta de Santiago, en Matosinhos; la otra en el Forum Maia, en Oporto.
